FROM THE LOOMS OF VARANASI TO YOUR DOORSTEP -- THIS IS THE STORY OF BNS SAREE CENTRE
It Started With a Question That Kept Me Up at Night.
I grew up surrounded by sarees. Not as products. Not as inventory. As stories.
My family has been in the saree business for years — watching master weavers pour their entire soul into every thread, every zari, every motif. I saw firsthand how a single Banarasi saree could take weeks — sometimes months — to create. I watched weavers bend over their looms at dawn, weaving patterns that once adorned queens and nawabs.
And then I saw something that troubled me deeply.
These same weavers — whose craft is globally celebrated, whose work has been gifted to world leaders, whose art is a UNESCO-recognized heritage — were struggling. Not because their work wasn't extraordinary. But because too many middlemen stood between their loom and your hands.
Every layer added cost. Stripped away authenticity. Diluted the story.
That's when I decided — enough.
In 2024, I launched BNS Saree Centre — not just as a business, but as a bridge. A direct, honest, transparent bridge between the weavers of Varanasi and the women of India who deserve the real thing.
No middlemen. No markups. No compromises.
Just pure, authentic Banarasi craft — at a price that respects both the weaver and you.
